We are located in the North-East of the island of Bali, in the village of Bondalem. It has a population of about 5000 and the inhabitants live on fishing, coffee harvesting, clove trees, fruit orchards or work as carpenters, chauffeurs et cetera.
The Guesthouse BALI SANDAT (Ylang-Ylang) is situated at the edge of the village, directly at the Bali Sea. Our Guesthouse, in the midst of its lush garden, invites you to relax and enjoy your stay fully. Let yourself be enchanted by the colours, sounds and smells of the tropics in our garden.
Or grab your swimming gear and go snorkeling: the sea just in front of our guesthouse, with its corals and multicoloured fishes, is the perfect place for it.
The Guesthouse BALI SANDAT contributes to a socially and ecologically sustainable tourism. We would like to bring our guests closer to the culture, the people and the nature of Bali.
We place great emphasis on the ecological use of what nature has to offer and the sustainable use of the resources available. Therefore, we use only local products and materials. It goes without saying that we recycle whatever possible.
Our staff come from Bondalem and the surrounding villages. These employments allow six families to earn an income. Through our social commitment and donations we support education, training and health care for our staff and their extended families.

Every day our cook Kadek Kar prepares amazing and original Balinese dishes.
We serve breakfast and dinner (table d’hôte), as well as small dishes, snacks and juices à la carte.
Our Restaurant-Bale is where we serve our meals.
Fresh fruit platter, coffee, tea, and choice of homemade bread with butter and jam, eggs any style, pancakes or rice cakes…
For lunch or a quick snack in between, simple but delicious dishes are available on our menu.
Enjoy the day’s selection of Balinese dishes, vegetarian and with meat/fish, served with rice and sambals ... and a dessert
You can enjoy fresh coconut or fruit juices by the sea.
